Chemraz® Compound Comparison Chart

Compound General Description Avg. Temp
504 Chemraz 504 provides an extremely broad range of chemical resistance and is perfect for services with low pressures and/or low temperatures. -22°F to 446°F
505 A field-proven, universal compound having the broadest range of chemical resistance on the market. Chemraz 505 is ideal for processes taking place in subzero temperatures as well as for use in multi-substance plants or in mixed media. -22°F to 446°F
510 Greene Tweed’s Chemraz 510, a perfluoroelastomer, offers an extremely broad range of chemical resistance with a Shore A hardness value of 90. with a temperature range from -22°F to 446°F (-30°C to 230°C), Chemraz 510 is well suited for use in a range of applications, from mechanical seals to pump housings. -22°F to 446°F
514 / 517 The white industrial compounds are for applications where contamination from carbon black must be prevented. -20°F to 425°F
526 This specialty black compound was formulated for incredible resistance to rapid gas decompression (otherwise known as explosive decompression) damage common in high pressure gas services. Chemraz 526 is also used in monomer services where polymerization attacks and ruptures common elastomeric seals. 0°F to 500°F
555 Chemraz 555 provides a significantly wider operational band and superior compression set resistance than any other broad range perfluoroelastomer on the market. With an upper temperature limit of 600°F (316°C), it is the elastomer of choice for the most demanding services found in the chemical process and refining industries. 10°F to 600°F
562 Excellent compression set resistance, steam and chemical resistance with a broad operating envelope. Well suited for oilfield equipment applications. 10°F to 600°F
564 / 566 Exceptional chemical resistance with a wide temperature range. Allow for greater flexibility in tooling due to a good shrink rate. -40°F to 445°F
584 / 585 These specialty cream Chemraz compounds are formulated to withstand the most demanding chemical process applications. Chemraz 584 and 585 are the elastomers of choice for strong oxidation fluids and hot aqueous solutions. -22°F to 428°F
600 Extremely broad chemical resistance range made from a high-density base polymer. Low compression set and perfect for sealing at high pressures. -4°F to 500°F
605 A high temperature compound with superior physical properties and chemical resistance comparable to Chemraz 505. This compound excels in demanding dynamic applications and exhibits unparalleled performance in high temperature steam and water. 0°F to 500°F
615 The highest temperature perfluoroelastomer on the market. Chemraz 615 can handle continuous operating temperatures up to 615°F with outstanding resistance to fatal thermal related compression set. 0°F to 615°F
SD625 Offers the broadest range of chemical resistance of any elastomer, combining the resilience and sealing force of an elastomer with chemical resistance and low extractables similar to PTFE. -4°F to 500°F
